During a recent appearance on Vulture's Good One podcast, standup comedian Ralph Barbosa recounted a humorous first meeting with the iconic Dave Chappelle. Feeling nervous, Barbosa initially offered Chappelle a potato ball at the Hollywood Improv. After the event, he discovered that Chappelle had left his vest behind. Concerned it might be stolen, Barbosa took the vest with the intention of returning it the next day. Unbeknownst to Chappelle, Barbosa had also placed an ounce of mushrooms in the vest pocket.

When Chappelle returned for his vest, Barbosa felt guilty and handed it over to his security team. A few days later, he encountered Chappelle again and attempted to explain the situation regarding the mushrooms.
